Farzan Rajab

Mr. Farzan Rajab has 14 years experience in the field of Health Safety and Environment and has worked in a diverse range of environments which include construction, oil and gas, marine, manufacturing and proves plant.  Mr. Rajab is currently the HSE Manger for the Pres-T-Con Group of Companies a member of the Neal and Massy Group.

He is the holder of a BSc in Occupational, Safety, Health and Environment from the University of Greenwich, a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health and is a Graduate Member of the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety UK.

Mr. Rajab is also a certified OSHA trainer in Construction, General and Maritime Industry Standards, a certified Mobile Crane Inspector form the Crane Institute of America, and a certified Scaffold Inspector from Safety and Access Limited UK.

Kenneth Samlal

Mr. Samlal is a registered Electrical Engineer / HSE Consultant with over thirty (30) years experience in private and public institutions and organizations in Trinidad and Tobago, the region and Canada.

His involvement as part of the management team at the National Energy Skills Center for eight (8) years, afforded him the opportunity to successfully transfer an internationally recognized technician programme from Alberta Industry Training Canada to Trinidad without compromising the quality and standards.  Therefore, he is well positioned to produce quality training and consultancy services at any establishment in Trinidad and Tobago.

Mr. Samlal holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and a BSc in Biochemistry from Concordia University.  Under Mr. Samlal’s stewardship, over 250 graduates have successfully completed programmes in HSE at different levels.  In addition, he has the distinction of being one of the few City & Guilds External Verifiers for their Engineering and Advanced Oil and Gas Programmes.

Mr. Samlal is a member in good standing with the National Safety Council (NSC) USA, Institute of Occupational Safety and Health UK (IOSH), American Society of Quality (ASQ) and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA) UK. The Association of Professional Engineers of Trinidad and Tobago (APETT) and the Board of Engineering (BOE) of Trinidad and Tobago.

 

Shaban Ali

Mr. Shaban Ali is currently the HSE Manager (Ag.) of a Leading Mechanical, Engineering, and Construction Contractor with over 12 years experience in Health and Safety Management development and implementation.

He has worked in a variety of areas ranging from oil/gas processing, chemical plants, refinery upgrades, plant commissioning and construction.

Mr. Ali holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and Management from the University of London, a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health from the Cipriani College of Labour and Cooperative Studies, a Diploma in Business Management from the San Fernando Technical Institute and is a Certified OSHA 501 Trainer.

Wendell Rattan

Mr. Wendell Rattan began his career more than eleven years ago in the field of mechanical engineering working as a pilot plant technician at Point Lisas.  Being exposed to risk management at various levels, he quickly became interested in Health and Safety and was one of the first in Trinidad to graduate from COSTAATT with an Associate Degree in OSH.

His experience is quite diverse ranging from manufacturing and construction to oil and gasdrilling and production. Mr. Rattan has worked on Control of Work/Electronic Permit to Work projects for companies such as bpTT, Atlantic and bgtt. In recent years he worked for Petrofac (formerly RGIT Montrose), one of the world’s largest HSE training and consultancy firms.  Mr. Rattan has consulted with hundreds of companies and trained thousands of individuals on the local and international arena. 

His major challenges to-date include working on the BTC project in Azerbaijan, Caspian Sea (world’s longest oil and gas pipeline) and the facilitation of the NEBOSH Oil and Gas Certificate pilot program in Aberdeen U.K. and Singapore.
